Since 1990, Polanco has brought to the San Francisco Bay Area the best of Mexico; folk crafts, contemporary fine art, antiques and jewelry. All items are hand-picked by the owners on their frequent trips throughout Mexico. Searching in the villages and large cities of the country they are able to find unique pieces, many one of a kind, by great masters and unknown artisans. We are particularly pleased to have introduced talented young painters, photographers and sculptors to the American public. With special exhibitions, they have fostered the careers of many artists who would otherwise not have had the opportunity to show in the US. Located in San Francisco's unique Hayes Valley, convenient to the Civic Center and the major cultural attractions of the San Francisco Opera, Ballet, and Symphony, Polanco is the Bay Area's only gallery devoted exclusively to the arts of Mexico.
